Friday 19th July

Welcome to Year 5F’s final blog for this year. We still can't believe how quickly it has flown by!

Maths - The children continued working on angles. They investigated reflex angles and how to work out the value of a missing angle. They also used the class tablets to access LBQ (Learning by Questions) and complete tasks on angles.

English - The children have been using the class tablets to access LBQ  and have completed grammar and reading activities.

Science - This week we have been investigating soluble and insoluble materials. The children had 8 different materials (salt, sugar, sand, chalk, coffee, gravy granules, flour and rice) which they added to 100ml of water, stirred and then observed which materials dissolved into the water.

Topic - We enjoyed baking mature cheddar and sweet corn muffins this week to remember the Pilgrims first meal together, also known as Thanksgiving in the USA today. Here are some pictures from the day...

Here are our certificate winners this week...all of Year 5F. It has been a pleasure to teach each and every one of your children this past year. We wish them every success as they move on up to Year 6. smileysmileysmiley

We would like to wish you all a wonderful summer break. School re-opens on Tuesday 3rd September.
