Friday 21st April

Hello and welcome back after the Easter holiday.

We hope everyone had a great break.

Here are the highlights from our week.

In science we have been learning about microhabitats and so we went to the ALPS to investigate what we could find. Here are the photographs of our investigation.

In English we have been learning all about kenning poems.

We discovered that they are like a riddle which describes something or someone without saying what it is.

Can you guess which animal this is?

fur-licker,

milk-drinker,

door-stratcher,

ball-catcher,

long-napper,

dog-hater.

It is a cat!

A big thank you to the parents who attended the maths workshop.

The workshop is a valuable time to go through the different ways in which we teach the chidlren maths strategies.

The next workshop will be next Wednesday so please come along if you are free.

Finally, have your say.  Each week you will have a chance to decide on which new song we will learn in next week's whole school assembly.  Click on the link below to take part in an online vote.
