Friday 21st October

Good morning and welcome to our last block for this half term! All of a sudden, it seems to have flown by!

Thank you to all of you who were able to come to Parent's Evening this week. It was lovely to meet you all.

This week the children have been investigating long division in Maths. In English, they have planned, drafted and written up a letter to persuade supermarkets to stop selling of products containing palm oil. They have been learning about the use of palm oil and the devastation that deforestation is causing to animals, plants and our atmosphere.

In art, the children have continued to look at the famous Victorian William Morris and use his work to inspire theirs. They have been working with oil pastels as well as printing with paint. Here are some pictures of them enjoying their lessons...

Our certificate winner this week is Sophia for going the extra yard and practising long division at home without being asked. Also, this half term, school have awarded certificates for HISTORY. Our winner this half term is Oliver for expressing enthusiasm and fascination during our MILL CHILD topic. Well done to both our certificate winners. yesyesyes

That's all for this week. Enjoy the half term break and we will see you again on Monday 31st October.
