Friday 22nd March

Hello and welcome back to our blog.

Once again, we've had a busy old week here in year 6. In English we are really enjoying our new book, Street Child. It's based in the Victorian times so it's really helping us with our topic work too. We also wrote about the exciting trip to Quarry Bank Mill and have looked at word classes and hyphens too...that's just in English!

We started ratio and proportion this week and even fit in angles too in maths. Your children have done really well with these tricky concepts so well done to them.

In our history topic we started to look at the famous artist, William Morris. We found some contextual information about him and then had a go at recreating some of his work ourselves -  some lovely designs have been produced!

Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry, Mrs Melling & Mr Jackson xx
