Hello and welcome back to another weekly blog. Hope you have all had a lovely week, we have here in year 4.
In maths this week, we have been finding the area of 2D shapes. We can do this in two ways. The first way is counting squares and the second way is multiplying the length and width together. Click the link below and have a go at this area game.

In writing this week, we have been writing our two character sketches. One was about a really naughty boy named Derek Drew (from our poem last week), we then created our own new character, someone who was completely the opposite of Derek Drew. We made sure to include fronted adverbials and conjunctions in our writing this week.
On Tuesday afternoon, we had a lovely visit to the ALPs do so some mindfulness work. We focussed on ourselves and what we liked about ourselves. We even saw some lovely little footprints left from little visitors.
Just a reminder that books get changed every Friday, so can children please ensure they bring their reading book each week in order to be changed.
