Friday 25th November

Good morning and welcome to this week's Year 6W blog. As always, we have been working hard.

In Maths we have continued our topic on FRACTIONS. This week we have been investigating adding and subtracting mixed numbers (a number with a whole number and a fractional number eg 4 1/2) as well as multiplying and dividing fractions.

In English, the children have finished listening to our class novel, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Next week we will be starting a new one. The children are eager to find out what it will be! Also, they have begun to watch a short animated clip called Feast about a stray puppy. They will be writing about this over the next week.

Our certificate winner this week is Jenson. He won for examples of particularly good effort in Maths and English this week. Well done Jenson-what a brilliant week. yesyesyes

More congratulations to Year 6W on being the best class for attendance this week. As a result, the children are allowed to come into school on Monday in their own clothes, instead of school uniform. smileysmileysmiley

That's all for this week. We hope you have a relaxing weekend and will see you again on Monday.
