Friday 26th January

Hello again,

during this week, we have introduced the concept of percentages into our maths work. A tricky concept but one many children have got their teeth into such that they can confidently calculate decreases and increases.

In English, the class have demonstrated their wicked side by planning and drafting a set of instructions that seeks to make teacher crazy. Amongst the fiendish pranks was: moving the clock on several hours, squirting hot sauce into his lunch box, hiding speakers around the room that emit irregular sounds and to top it off  - pretend to be ill to be sent home. Can you believe your own children could be so devious? All for fun, of course.

Next week (Thursday) the children are to attend a swimming assessment as part of Wigan's drive to assess and improve standards. This is obligatory and all children must attend that day, bringing the kit advised in the suppirting letter.

Have a good week till next time
