Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning how to mentally add a one digit number to a 3 digit number. We started using concrete resources, such as base 10. Then we used the pictoral method, followed by symbolic.
English
On Monday we wrote our hot task. Following that, we began to look speech. We started by writing into some speech bubbles and then we learnt how to punctuate direct speech. We then punctuated speech linked to The Lighthouse.
Topic
This week we learnt about Hot and Cold Climates. We learnt about the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and the role the Equator plays in the climates of countries.
P.E
In P.E we learnt how to catch and pass a rugby ball!
Computing
We continued to create our blogs about the Seven Man-made Wonders of the World.
