This week we have been continuing to enjoy our class novel Hetty Feather, a Victorian foundling child. We love her fiery nature and imagination.
In writing lessons we imagined ourselves in the role of Hetty's foster mother and having to say the final goodbye to her as she returns to the Foundling Hospital. This resulted in some very emotional and thoughtful diary entries.
We have also begun using the online platform Reading Plus to develop our reading skills. We have been set the challenge of reading 20,000 words by half-term!
