Friday 29th September

This week in pre-school we have been focussing upon Nursery Rhymes.

We have been singing Nursery rhymes with props to help us understand the words in our group times.

Mrs Littler's group enjoyed washing Incy WIncy down the spout with water and Mrs Rothwell's group sat (a real!) Humpty Dumpty on a duplo wall and watched what happened as the egg fell.  Charlie and Katy thought this was hilarious.

Mrs Wright's group turned into monkeys (using masks) and were snapped by a crocodile!

In the continuous provision we painted our own twinkling little stars

One of our adult led activities this week involved using scissors to cut out a diamond, a star and the world.

We asked the children to tell us what the blue and green picture was.

'A moon!' said Noah

'Africa' said Ameerah

'A planet' Jack exclaimed

We explained to the children that this is our world, called Planet Earth.

In the outdoors this week, Aaron mentioned that the bikes were looking a little dirty.  With the recent rain, they had become speckled with dirt.

So....we created our own bike wash!

It was very cheap to have a full wash however the prices did change dependent on who was washing the bike surprise

Our star of the Day board this week, looks like this

These children received Star of The Day for increasing independence in the classroom and for following our five classroom rules:

Good Sitting

Good Listening

Good Sharing

Kind Hands

Tidy up when you finish.

The children are working so hard to follow the rules and are praised individually also throughout the day with stickers.

Please remember to visit the Number 4 club page to see which birthdays we have celebrated this week.
