Welcome back to our blog!
It's been another busy week in Year 2!
In English we have continued to look at Julia Donaldson's The Troll. The children have written their own version of the story, linking it to the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We have also done some comprehension work on the story, thinking about how the characters feel. Next week we are starting a new book!
In Maths we have been ordering numbers and comparing numbers using the greater than and less than symbols.
In Topic we have looked at a timeline of Wigan. We have learnt when buildings were built and when Wigan became a town.
During our Science lessons we have looked at different life cycles. This week it was the human life cycle. We looked at all the different stages of the cycle and what happens during each stage. The children will be carrying out an investigation next week!
