Friday 2nd February

Hello, welcome to the first blog of February. Hope you have all had a lovely week.

This week in maths, we have been busy continuing to multiply numbers by 10 and 100 and divide by 10 and 100. For example 400 x 6 . First we multiply 4 by 6 and then multiply that number by 100. Pretty straight forward?! Make sure you have lots of practise at home on your times tables using TT Rockstars or hit the button.

In writing, we have continued to learn our new Talk For Writing unit about The Newcastle Forest Dragon, this is part of our non fiction unit 'Non chronological reports'. We watched a live BBC shark programme and then produced some excellent shark non chronological reports about them. Maybe choose another animal at home and research it to produce your own report.

In science, we have created a Water Cycle in a bag, which you might have seen up on our classroom windows. They are really easy to make at home. Have a look at the link below, it would be great to see some of these in your windows too. https://www.mobileedproductions.com/blog/how-to-make-a-water-cycle-in-a-bag
