Friday 3rd May

Wow! What a busy week and I cannot believe that we are in May already!

In maths this week, the children have continued their work on decimals. They have multiplied 1 and 2 digit numbers by 100. In order to do this they must move all the digits 2 decimal places to the right and put in 0's as their place holder. Have a go at the link below. https://wordwall.net/resource/10828139/multiplying-and-dividing-by-10-and-100

In writing, the children have written 4 pieces of writing around one day. It is called Voices in the School and it shows a playtime in 4 peoples' perspectives. They are excellent! The children worked really hard, especially to include fronted adverbials.

In Science, the children have been looking at sound and how sound travels over distance. We went outside to see how far it was until we could no longer hear Miss Rowebottom playing the glockenspiel! We got to about 50m!!

In outdoor learning club this week, the children were making hairstyles out of natural material, have a look at the pictures below, it was great fun!

Remember, lots of TT practice at home. We have competitions going on in class and its great to see who is putting lots of work in around their times tables at home. The Government test is next month.

Have a great weekend, hopefully it stays sunny! See you on Monday.
