This week in English, we have worked very hard in learning techniques to understand and comprehend poetry. This can be very tricky as poems tend to be metaphoric which means the writer's intentions are often hard to grasp.
In maths, we have strongly focused on how we approach a variety of different reasoning puzzles and problems. These come in many different types and there are few generic strategies that can be employed for all - but reading and highlighting key information is the way to start them.
Following our study of the work of Edward Jenner in science, we have used the story to inspire some imaginative writing based on aspects of his life. Did you know he discovered the vaccination for smallpox?
