Friday 6th October
This week in pre-school we have been learning about the nursery rhyme 1,2,3,4,5 Once i caught a fish alive.
We counted on our fingers upto 10 and have been learning to show fast finger numbers 0, 5 and 10.
In group time the children have accessed fun maths activities linked to the song, including fishing in the fish pond, subitising fish and counting upto 5.
In the continuous provision we played games linked to the song. Mrs Rothwell also showed us how to combine a triangle and circle to make a fish from playdough!
We have also begun to notice some signs of Autumn outside.
Some children enjoyed using the wheelbarrows to collect leaves that have begun to fall from the trees.
