Friday 6th October

Hello! And welcome back to year 4w's blog for the week. Another busy week, I would just like to thanks all the parents that came to to Parents Evening this week, it was lovely to meet you all properly.

This week we have been busy in all areas. In PSHE we became 'Risk Assessors', we went around the school, school grounds and the ALPs, to find potential risks and how we can keep ourselves safe. Have a look at the pictures below.

In writing, we have learnt our new 'Talk for writing' off by heart. In order to learn 'How to Trap a Dragon' we need pictures, actions and lots of rehearsing.

Next week, we will then write our own set of instructions explaining how to trap our own mythical creature.

Thursday was also National Poetry Day, so we rehearsed reading a lovely poem and then we had a go at reading them out loud to the front of the class.

In P.E our cricket coach, Johnathon was back this week. We learnt batting skills this week and fielding. The children where brilliant at this, and really impressed the coach!

Our spellings next week are words that make the 'k' sound but are spelt sh.

1) Scheme

2) School

3) Symbol

4) Anchor

5) Chaos

6) Stomach

7) Character

8) Chorus

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, see you on Monday.
