Friday 6th October

Hello again!

Ever made a rainbow? Well that was Y6F's job this week in science. As part of our study on light, the children shone a torch at plastic blocks and some were lucky enough to make rainbows. The pictures haven't come out great but there were some super results.

This happens becuse white light is actually made of seven different colours. Sometimes, when lightn is refracted it splits into these constituent colours and a rainbow is revealed. This is the colour spectrum. This rhyme reminds us of the colours. Can you identify all seven?
