Friday 6th September

Hello and welcome to our blog. Here you can hear about lots of wonderful things that the class have been doing in class.

Year 1F have settled into class well and made a good start.

In English we have spent lots of time practising how to spell words like

dog, cat, hat, bun and pot.

Some children have been writing longer words like

skip, plug and swim.

In maths we have been sorting objects- we did this by either their colour or based on something similar we could notice like 2 legs.

This week we also practised drawing a self portrait. The children tried really hard to think about the facial features that we need to include.

Well done to all the children who read their reading book and returned it ready to be changed. Remember- we will change your reading book as often as you read!

We hope you have a lovely weekend- love Mrs Woodcock and Mrs Folksman.
