Friday 8th March

Hello everyone, wow another week has flown by! And what another busy week in year 4.

In maths, we have been looking at finding the perimeter of rectilinear shapes. To find the perimeter of a shape, you have to add up all the sides lengths together. Have a go at the game below and find the perimeter of these shapes.

In reading this week, we have been looking at different women from History who have made an impact on the world. This is because Friday 8th March is International Women's Day! It is important that we recognise these women and celebrate them.

This week we had Be Well from Wigan Council come in and speak to year 4 about the importance of good oral health care and how to properly wash our hands. We used the Aqua Fresh video to ensure we brush our teeth for two minutes.

And finally, this week is has been World Book Day. We loved seeing all the costumes in school and celebrating our love for books!

Next week spellings are words that end in the G sounds but are spelt 'gue' or 'que'

1) rogue

2) tongue

3) antique

4) unique

5) fatigue

6) plague

7) mosque

8) cheque

Hope you have a lovely weekend, and see you Monday!
