Friday 9th February 2018

Well done to Harvey-Joe, who won our certificate today for having a good knowledge of how to stay safe on the internet.

This week has been safer internet day and children's mental health week.  We have been talking about how to keep ourselves safe online.

As a class we have pledged to:

Always be kind to each other.

If someone is unkind, tell a grown up or a teacher.

Use the report button to report anything online.

Tell our parents when we use the internet.

Never speak to strangers on the internet.

We made a healthy apple using our fingerprints to represent healthy minds.  We talked about what was unique about us and celebrated it.

In Maths we have been learning our number bonds to 10.  It is really important for us to know these, so please help us to learn them inside out and back to front!

In English, we have been reading the story 'Oi Frog!' We have been learning rhyming words.  We have written our own rhyming poems.  Here is our class poem:

Cats sit on mats.

Dogs sit on logs.

Mules sit on stools.

Puffins sit on muffins.

Hens sit on pens.

Pigs sit on wigs.

We were good at thinking of rhyming words and everyone was impressed with our new poem.

We have sent home the parts for our class assembly.  Please help your child to practise speaking in a loud, clear voice and saying their line with expression.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Lodge, Mrs Connah and Miss Seddon.
