Friday 9th February

Hello and welcome back to year 4's blog!

Yet again, we have been very busy in year 4.

In writing this week, we have planned our own dragon non chronological report. The children wrote about where they live, what they look like, what the eat and produced some beautiful and interesting reports about their chosen dragon!

In maths, we have been continuing with multiplication. This week we have looked at multiplying 2 and 3 digits by a 1 digit, where it requires carrying. Have a go at the link and continue your practising at home. https://www.iknowit.com/lessons/d-multiplying-3-digit-by-1-digit-numbers.html

This week, we had a return visitor to year 4. The canal and River Trust came in to see us again, but this time we looked at the formation of a river, Katie was blown away by our knowledge that we had already about rivers. We then used sand and equipment to build our own river and label the features. Have a look at the pictures below.
