Spring 2 learning
Hello and a very warm welcome back to our Spring 2 learning. This half term we have been busy using the focus of Growth to help us with our learning. We have explored some lovely texts this half term to help us develop our understanding and knowledge.

Let's have a little look at what else we have been exploring this half term 
Whilst we have been learning about Growth we have been thinking about and learning the language of height. We have been exploring height in lots of different ways for example using children, resources and other toys to order from shortest to tallest and tallest to shortest. Take a look at our work
We have even created a Garden Centre in the classroom. This has given us lots of opportunities to learn about numbers, prices, writing opportunities and how to take on different roles including what to say and do as a customer and shop assistant. We love to play!
We have also been exploring and learning about numbers. We have been playing games, knocking down skittles and then writing how many we had managed to knock down and how many were left standing. A great way of learning how to write numbers and develop our counting skills
We have also been thinking about how we have changed over time. We have been talking about the things we did when we were a baby and what we can do now. We drew pictures, talked with our friends and grown ups and used play to share our ideas and suggestions. Great work everyone
We have also been exploring movement in PE and how we can use our body in different ways to create different movements. We have been exploring how to stand on one leg, jump and how to work together when playing games
We have been celebrating World Book Day. What a fabulous day of stories, story telling and dressing up. Well done everyone we had a wonderful time
We hope that you have enjoyed looking at our learning for this half term. We have learned so many new skills this half term - we have been developing our patience - just like Jasper had to do in the story, we have been learning how to share ideas and work together, we have explored numbers, letters and the outdoor environment. What a busy half term full of fun and laughter and learning
