wb 13th March

On Wednesday, Y3 went to the Dewa Roman Discovery Centre in Chester as part of their learning in Topic.

We boarded the ship and travelled back in time to Roman Chester. We learnt about how people in Roman times had a bath, what Roman soldiers wore and even got to sit in an Amphitheatre to find out what happened when gladiators fought there.

After lunch, a Roman Soldier took us to the streets of Chester to teach us how to march and make battle formations. As we were marching through Chester, we had to chant and stay in formation. Lots of people stopped to watch us as we got into character!

A fun day was had by all!
