wc 23rd April

Welcome back, it's been another busy week in Year 2F!

In Maths this week, we have continued our work on fractions. We have worked on lots of fractions problem solving and even tricky missing number  calculations. Mr Sherriff came in to our class to see our work and was impressed by how good we were at such difficult work!

In English we have continued working on non-chronological reports. This week we wrote a report about the events of the Great Fire of London. Mrs Hannon was impressed by how much information we had remembered about it.

The main event of our week was our trip to Blackpool Zoo. We were so excited all week about going, and we weren't disappointed! We had a lovely day, the weather was nice and the children were well behaved. We saw loads of different animals and got to walk through some of the enclosures. We even got to see a sea lion show. (Photos are below)

Finally thank you to all of the parents who turned up to our Year 2 SATs meeting yesterday, it was lovely to see so many parents. We will be sending out the Maths paper soon for you to have a look at and work through  with your child.

That's all for this week, we will see you again next week for more fun in year 2.

Lots of love from

Mrs Hannon, Ms Rose

and all of Y2F
