Week beginning 16.03.2020

A group of children take part daily in a name writing activity, to help them prepare for when they go to Reception class in September.
They have been working so hard to perfect their pen grip and holding it accurately to begin to start forming the letters featured in their name.

All children take part in beginning to recognise their own name through daily

self registration.

This week we are getting the children in the big outdoors as much as possible.
In class, we have been talking about the importance of exercise and

why it is good for our bodies.

On Tuesday morning, the class went on the MUGGA which is an all weather pitch based at the back of school. We played football ⚽️ , chase games, rolled the hoops, used the bats and balls 🎾. We ran around getting our bodies moving and muscles working.

Let’s get moving at the park!

We used our gross muscles to climb, stretch, slide, swing, run and crawl.

Outdoor Obstacle course.

P.E - Tuesday afternoon.

This week’s P.E group chose to do gymnastics. On the mats, the children decided they wanted to do roly poly’s. They each took it in turn to show us their rolling skills. They were all super! Some of the children showed us how to do the Splits, wow superstars!

Boys and girls - Remember at home, to keep practicing taking off and putting on your socks and shoes all by yourself.
