Week Beginning 22nd April

⭐️Star of the week⭐️

Some of our activities this week🎨

Tuesday 23rd Aprilsmiley

Today for snack the children really enjoyed having watermelon, they talked about the different colours they could see! The children are doing really well with their manners when making requests at meal times. We are encouraging them to be as independent as possible during self care and routines getting them "preschool ready. They are confident when zipping/unzipping their lunch bags and putting in back in the red lunch box when finished, we are super proud of them allyes

Wednesday 1st Maysmiley

We had such a busy day today, we started off with body painting which the children thoroughly enjoyed! They all had spare nursery clothes on and enjoyed getting messy. We encouraged the children to get as messy as possible by using their hands, feet, arms, legs and tummiessmiley They all enjoyed splashing in the water afterwards to get cleanheart

We then headed over to the local park and worked on our physical skills, some of the children are really confident in climbing without adult support. We have started to walk around the environment without any reins on. We pair the children with a "footstep friend" and encourage them to keep hold of hands throughout the journey, they are doing really well with this and enjoy the independence. They are showing good listening skills and we are so impressed with them allyes

Park play😁👍

Thursday 2nd Maysmiley

Today we enjoyed playing in the sand finding staff/children's pictures hidden within. The children correctly identified their friends and excitedly showed them and us. We then focused on a fine motor skills activity which was spaghetti for threading pasta shapes and cheerio's onto the strands. The children showed good concentration skills through this activity and enjoyed the challengeyes

Friday 3rd Maysmiley

We have had a very busy day today in which we haven't managed to capture lots of pictures, this morning we had a nice walk down to the pet shop and saw all the different animals. The children enjoyed exploring and listening to all the different sounds along the way.

The Sunflower team would like to say a big well done to our 3 little ones who have now got rid of their nappies and put them in Traci's special nappy basket, and transitioned into knickers/boxers and are using the potty and toilet at nursery. We are super proud of you all, keep up the good worklaughheart
