Some of our activities this week😁
We have celebrated 2 birthdays this week, they was super excited to show off their badges😁👍 Happy 3rd Birthday🥳
Outdoor play😁
We enjoyed a visit into preschools outdoor area this week, the children loved to play and explore in a different surrounding and was really confident! They was keen to try out the balancing beams and showed good balancing whilst walking on them
Bus journeys🚌
This week we have been taking small groups on the bus into Wigan. They children was super excited to go on a bus and enjoyed listening to all the different sounds, like the bell on the bus, the engine, the people talking etc. We sang The wheels on the bus, and made a lot of people smile. The children showed great confidence saying "good morning" to people, saying Thankyou to the bus drivers & waving to all the other buses in the bus station.
Don't worry if your child did not experience this through this week, we will be going over the course of the month and will make sure everyone gets a turn
Focused group times👍
We did a tea party in nursery today as a group for our focused activity. We encourage the children to problem solve by sharing and taking turns. They showed good listening skills and good can do attitudes by sharing with their friends. We asked simple questions for example "can you find the babies nappy" "can you feed baby", they responded well and followed these instructions. They all played co-operatively as a group
Messy play🎨
We have been focusing our learning around shapes this week and did painting with wooden shapes. The children could identify most shapes they was making, some with adult support. They enjoyed using the different colours/shapes to make their own pictures
We also took part in a messy activity which was The bear hunt sensory tray. We had the story playing in the background on the Ipad so the children could listen to the story through play and recreate it. They loved getting messy and exploring with their hands and fingers. They used the small figures and bear to make their own stories and create imaginative play
