week ending 15th July 2022

Hello and a warm welcome back to our class blog. This week we have been using the lovely text Bog Babies. Have a little look on the Internet for this wonderful story. You will not be disappointed!

We have been using different construction toys to make our very own Bog Baby. We talked about the different features and then planned, made and reviewed what we had created. Wonderful smiley

We have been exploring different marks and how we can represent them. Here is a a wonderful example of how working together creates great outcomes. Well done girls

As we do every week we have been developing our skills and knowledge linked to numbers. This week has been filled with so many lovely examples of the children demonstrating their competency in lots of different areas. We have had children making and writing number sentences independently, children writing number bonds without support and children showing us their understanding of subitising. Amazing work we are so very proud of you all smiley

So after listening to the story of Bog Babies we decided to make our very own little Bog Baby. The children had to use their fine motor skills, listen carefully to instructions and follow them and use tools and techniques to create them. Here we are looking very proud of our Bog Babies.

So sadly the time has almost come to leave Reception. We are so proud of the journey the children have had with us. We have had lots of fun, laughs and special times together. We have four days left of the term and we intend to make them fun fun fun!

Have a great weekend
