Week ending 15th September
Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week we have all been together as a full class which has been lovely. We got to spend time getting to know each other and working on our sharing and play skills.
This week we read our first text of the week 'Starting School'. We enjoyed listening to the story and talking about the similarities between the children in the stories school and our new school. We completed some fantastic writing activities based on our text.
We have started our Read Write Inc Phonics this week. We have learnt the first 5 sounds and we are doing an amazing job of remembering them. We have also had a go at writing the sounds.
In Maths, we have been talking all about pattern. We worked hard to make repeating patterns.
We had our first PE lesson! We talked about finding space to make sure we don't bump into our friends. We used our listening ears when Mr Ellis gave us an instruction and told us to STOP. We used our walking feet and also practised running!
