week ending 16th December 2022

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week have been all about the party and Christmas and what an amazing time we have had. Let's look through this weeks adventures ....

We started the week off with our party. What a wonderful time we had. A lovely afternoon filled with fun, games and friends. A perfect end to our busy Autumn term

We have used the theme of Christmas to good effect this week to help us with our learning. We made repeating patterns using candy canes and this was a great activity to help our funky finger development

We have also been exploring how to match numeral and quantity. We played a game of fastest finger first. We had to identify the number on the tree and then count out the correct number of baubles to add. It was so much fun smiley

We also developed this skill further as part of our continuous provision challenges. Using a timer we had to collect the correct number of pom poms and add them to the tree using pincers. Tricky but good for developing perseverance yes

We also had a very special visitor read us a story on Thursday. Can you guess who it was? We will give you a clue...... He wears red and says Ho Ho Ho! Got it yet?

We have also been using Rudolph as our inspiration for our art work. Take a look at some of these lovely examples.

So that brings us to the end of the Autumn term and what a term it has been. The staff are so very proud of each and every one of the children and we hope that you all have a peaceful and restful Christmas. The children have brought home gifts from school and I would love to see photographs of them using them. Please remember to send me a Weduc message.

Have a great Christmas and we will see you all again in January ready to learn all about Traditional Takes
