Hello and welcome back to this weeks class blog. This week we have been using the text Marvellous Me to help us with our learning. Let's have a little look at all of the experiences we have been lucky enough to engage with this week 

Now we have been accessing Read Write Inc for a couple of weeks we are exploring writing our letters in different media for example sand, glitter, outside with chunky chalks and water and paint brushes. These are great fun things to try at home and really help the children to retain the letters we are learning in school 

Here we are showcasing some more of the ways we write our letter sounds. Try it at home. I would love to see pictures via Weduc of the children writing their letters 

Despite the heavy rain this week we have been keen to get outside and explore the great outdoors. Here we are in the glimpses of sunshine and in between the heavy rain 

Using the text of the week Marvellous Me we have been very busy in the Creative area. We have been thinking about all of the things that makes us marvellous. We discovered that we are all unique, we like and are good at different things and that is what makes us special. Take a look at some of this weeks story map work 

We also explored collage materials and created self portraits. These are now on the wall for every one to see just how marvellous we all are!

We have also been exploring what happens to paint when we use it on different materials. Here we are exploring colour, pattern and texture using cotton buds to paint on tin foil
