Week ending 6th October

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We have been reading the text 'In Every House on Every Street' this week. We have enjoyed lots of lovely discussions and activities relating to this text.

We have spent lots of time this week focusing on our Read Write Inc Phonics. Each week in class we spend time watching videos on the portal to practise our sounds and Fred talk.

Some of us have been playing 'teachers' with our RWI sound cards and practising with eachother.

As always, we have been practising our letter shapes in lots of different ways.

One of our Maths activities this week focused on the number 3. We enjoyed looking around our classroom to find different representations of the number 3.

In PE, we used all of the hall to move around each other. We listen to coaches whistle and when he blew it twice we knew we needed to STOP. We used our listening ears and negotiated the space to ensure we didnt touch any obstacles.

Next week our text of the week is 'A New Home for a Pirate'.

Dont forget, we have our reading stay and play on Wednesday morning.

Have a great weekend,

Miss Sherriff and the RF teamlaugh
