Week ending Friday 20th September
Welcome back to Reception F's blog. This is where you can find out all about what we have been learning about in Reception F this week. We have had such a fun and busy week and we have learnt so much.
This week our text of the week has been The Scarecrow's Wedding by Julia Donaldson. We have loved the book and we have done so many activities throughout the week which you can see on our display by our snack area.
We have loved getting creative this week and we are experimenting with so many different materials. We practised our cutting and sticking skills when we made our scarecrow puppets. Sometimes it was quite difficult but we all tried our best and our puppets look amazing!
We have been doing lots of Scarecrow writing as well this week and we are thinking really hard about the starting sounds in words. We even wrote invitations to the Scarecrow's wedding.
This week we took our first trip to the Alps. We loved going into the woods to explore. Especially as we had made bird feeders and we chose great places to hang them. We are looking forward to going back next week to see if any birds have eaten our food.
We have had such a fun and busy week this week and we have done everything from counting wedding rings to making yummy scarecrow biscuits and we can't wait to come back next week for more fun learning.
Next week our text of the week is The Gruffalo and we already have so many fun activities planned.
