Week ending Friday 6th December

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We have officially started celebrating Christmas and our classroom is already starting to look very festive.

Our text of the week this week was Stickman and it was a great way to start off December with Santa in our story. We loved Stickman and we can't believe it was our last Julia Donaldson text.

We've been busy this week manipulating materials to make our own Stickmen. We have used play dough, sticks and pipe cleaners and we have created some fantastic representations. Take a look at what we have made...
As Stickman gets covered in snow in our story we thought a great challenge to practice using scissors was to make our own snow flakes. The children absolutely loved making these and it was great scissor practice.
We have also been cutting out Stickmen which have turned out fantastic...
The children have done some fantastic writing this week. We have written our letters for Stickman to give to Santa and we have also drawn and labelled pictures of our Stickman family. The children are always busy on the writing table and they love practicing writing the sounds they learn in RWI.

We have been practicing our Nativity this week on the stage. We have worked really hard on learning our songs and the children are so excited for you to come and watch them next week.

Have a great weekend,

Reception F.
