13/11/23

This week we have done some activities relating to Pudsey Bear as today (Friday 17th November) it is Children in Need. We made Pudsey masks and Pudsey biscuits.

Some dates for your diary - Christmas Jumper day this year is Thursday 7th December, children are invited to come to nursery in their Christmas Jumpers and we kindly ask for a donation for the brick (pasta, tin soup, beans, biscuits, cereal etc)  Please only donate if you are able too.

If your child is not in on this day you are more than welcome to donate and wear a jumper any day throughout the week .

Friday 22nd December all children are invited in to nursery in the morning for a Christmas party. We will have an entertainer in the school hall, for lots of dancing, party games and party food.

Times to be confirmed.

We have welcomed 3 new children into the butterfly room 🦋. They have all settled in really well and have begun building new relationships with staff and children.

The children really enjoyed looking at their family photographs and talking about who was in the picture. Thank you again for sending them in.

Painting with cars, we talked about the colours we used and looked at the marks the cars made. We encouraged the children’s use of language promoting single words.

We introduced the children to numbers so they can begin to recognise them and used blocks to count up to 5.

This week in the hall the children loved running around, they enjoy playing the game of pretending to fall over and shouting ‘help’ and wait for their friend to help them up. We also enjoyed dancing, joining in with simple actions. Our favourite is Baby Shark.

We talked about our facial features and encouraged the children to draw their eyes, nose and mouth on a face template. They did really well 👍

On Thursday afternoon the children enjoyed a visit to the local park.

Continuous provision...
