This week have have been reading the story Dear Zoo and we have focused many of our activities around the story. We loved making animal sounds and roaring like lions 🦁 with our masks on.

We are going to continue with the Dear Zoo theme next week as well as some autumnal activities. Below is a video of Lauren B reading the story of Dear Zoo for you to enjoy at home together with your child.

Again I would love it if you could send me some photographs of things your children have done on the days your child is not in nursery with us to my email address Toni.clarke@westfield.wigan.sch.uk

We used our hands in paint to create a lions mane and we painted our very own lion masks. 🦁

After painting our lion masks we enjoyed wearing them pretending to be lions 🦁

We enjoyed exploring conkers and leaves and did some conker rolling pictures.

This week in the hall, we practiced throwing and catching balls ⚽️🎾

We tried to find the matching zoo animal pictures, the children where very good at this. We talked about what the animal was called and encouraged the children to repeat it and the sounds they made.

On Wednesday morning we visited the park across the road, we had lots of fun.

We thought it would be a lovely idea to film some of the songs we like to sing at nursery so you can sing them at home to.

This week Lauren M is singing Little Green Frog 🐸
