W/B 30/10/23

As Bonfire night is this weekend we focused lots of our activities around colour. We made firework pictures and talked about the colours we where using, we explored coloured rice and listened to the sound it made as it dropped into the tray.

I have emailed out asking for family photographs to be sent to me, this can be any photographs of special people in your a child’s life, this also includes pets. This is a lovely way for children to feel special sharing their photos with friends and helps to develop communication and language . My email address again is toni.clarke@westfield.wigan.sch.uk

I look forward to receiving them 😀

This weeks story is ‘Pete the cat I love my white shoes’ read by Toni. We chose this story to continue the colour theme, the children really enjoyed the singing parts of this story.

Exploring colouring and making marks.

We printed colours to represent fireworks 🎆

We made chocolate apples 🍎 and breadstick sparklers. The children really enjoyed eating these 😋

The children explored black glittery play dough and used coloured sticks to make their own fireworks 🎇

We drizzled glitter on paper and added glitter and did colourful rollerball pictures, we talked about the colours we where using to create our firework pictures.

Continuous provision.

This weeks song is ‘Little Turtle’ 🐢 with Toni
