Smithills Farm Trip

We have had a wonderful day at the farm today.  First we put out lunch boxes away. Next we went on a bumpy tractor ride to feed the donkeys.  We fed them bread! The dog raced the tractor up the hill to the top.

Next we rode on a donkey. It was lots of fun.

After that we went to feed the animals.  We fed lamas, alpacas, goats and sheep.  We got to stroke some piglets and some cows too.

Then we had our lunch.  We were very hungry by this point.

After lunch we learnt about how the cows were milked. We then went to pets corner where we got to stroke lots of animals.

We had a lovely day as you can  see from our pictures.

Love Year 1F

What a wonderful week it has been!  We have been working extremely hard practising our World Book Day assembly. We learnt our lines and learnt how to use our lovely singing voices.  We were very proud of all of the children, as it is very overwhelming standing in front of a large audience and acting and singing.

Can I also take the opportunity to thank you for the wonderful costumes that the children came in.  They really did look fantastic.

We had a super world book day. We drew pictures of ourselves as our character and wrote sentences.  We shared lots of wonderful stories.
