This week we have learned about animals who live in the coldest parts of the world. We looked at Google Earth and couldn't believe that the Arctic has so much snow and ice!
We saw a walrus and remembered that we had seen this animal before in the text Jacob O'Reilly wants a pet!
We accessed different activities linked to arctic animals.
We have really enjoyed our time outdoors this week. We played a game that involved throwing a beanbag at a target, a subitising game, on the rainy days, under the gazebo and we built a balancing course where we practised safe jumping at the end!
We welcomed our families to the festive singalong. The children sat so beautifully and sang their little hearts out. It was a joy to see them together, performing for the first time in their Westfield journey.
We also enjoyed the 'reindeer run' on Friday.
Thank you so much to all of the families who donated money for the antlers. Wigan and Leigh hospice provide end of life care for very poorly adults in their final days. It takes a huge amount of money every year to fund this second-to-none service for patients and their families.
And we had a visit from Rudolph to complete the experience!
This week's dojo winner was Ruby and our Star of the Week was Jacob! Well done toy you both.
See you all on Monday!
