This week we have begun to learn about 'Autumn'.
We have noticed the changes that are happening in the world around us and enjoyed exploring the few Autumn treasures bags that arrived back in school after the half term break.
The children were all very excited this week about Halloween. Miss Cain kindly donated 5 pumpkins to us to create a pumpkin patch in the outdoor classroom.
This was a huge hit with all children who picked a pumpkin, loaded it into the wheelbarrow and paid for them with the 'pretend' money.
There was lots of opportunity for maths skills, communication and language development and of course the physicality of picking your own pumpkin!
The children had lots of opportunities in the continuous provision to learn about pumpkins and Autumn.
Alyssa entered school on Monday and said 'Mrs Rothwell, your house (classroom) is beautiful!'
We also enjoyed carving our very own Mr Pumpkin.
Presley-Rae won the raffle to take him home on Halloween night!
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
Happy Halloween and happy Diwali to all of our families.
