This week we have been busy again with our topic of ‘Everyday Heroes’.
English
In English we have started our new writing text based on the short video ‘Bubbles’. We have been exploring the text to find nouns and adjectives it uses along with coming up with our own ideas. We have looked at how exclamation sentences and questions are used to make a text more interesting. We have been writing questions and exclamations of our own.
Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning all about position and direction. We have looked at the vocabulary used in the topic. Discussing further how things can be forwards, backwards, above, below, right and left of other objects.
Science
In Science we have continued our topic of ‘Animals Including Humans’. This week we have gone back through the 5 key groupings of different animals and identified where there are similarities and differences between them. We have investagated the group of birds further. We have thought about the key features of birds such as them being warm blooded, laying eggs, having feathers and wing to fly.
Topic
This week in our topic lesson it has been focused on the DT. We have looked at a variety of emergancy vehicles and their features. We looked at how each vehicle is made carefully for the job it does. We have used these ideas to design our own police car, fire engine or ambulance.
Have a wonderful weekend.
