Welcome to the blog. We've had an out of this world week. On Tuesday, Space Commander Al came to see us and recruit us as Space Cadets. We had lots of fun in our training and learned about the planets.
Maths
This week we have been learning about 1 more and 1 less than, within numbers to 50,
We've used base 10, number tracks and number lines to help us.
English
In English we have been changing features in the story, 'How to catch a star'. We have planned our own version and then written it independently. We used our time words of first, next, then, finally and tried really hard to do our best handwriting.
Science
In science we have used our knowledge of materials properties to design a space suit. We had to think about keeping the astronaut safe but make sure they can move about and see.
Topic
In our topic we have continued our work about significant people in space exploration. This week we found out about The British astronaut 'Helen Sharman', she is a significant person because she was the first British person to go to space.
