27th September

Hi everyone!

You all looked super smart for your photographs on Wednesday, we can't wait to see them!

Maths

In Maths this week we have been focusing on counting backwards from any number within 10 and finding one less than a number. We found our fingers helped us with this when we were unsure but we need to practise both of these skills more so that we become more fluent.

English

In English this week we have read the story 'Giraffes can't dance' by Giles Andreae. We have been practising retelling a basic version of this story and sequencing the pictures. We have looked at capital letters this week too, some of them are confusing us as they look so different! You could help us at home with this too.

Topic

In Topic this week we found out more about how toys have changed over time and created a timeline showing Victorian toys, early 20th century toys, Grandparent's toys, Parent's toys and our toys. Lots of the toys on our timeline were familiar to us!

Science

In Science this week we have checked our vocabulary and understanding of our materials topic so far.

Computing

In Computing we continue to look at algorithms and this week created our own dance routine for our partners to follow.

Have a lovely weekend!
