Welcome to our class blog!

Here you will find information about what we have been learning about in pre-school and any important upcoming notices and events.

This week, we have had a wonderful time settling into our new environment- reconnecting with friends and making new ones.

We have particularly enjoyed the small world areas, sand area and painting table.  

Next week we will welcome the children back to the classroom for their usual sessions and introduce the lunchtime routine for those who are with us all day.  

Please ensure that your child has their lunchbox and a drink for lunchtime if they are accessing 9-3pm.

It would be very helpful if when entering the gate in the morning, you could stay with your child and form an orderly queue.  The adult welcoming your child to school needs to note who has brought your child to school and have the opportunity to give you any important information about the day and the chance for you to speak to them.  It also allows us to begin to recognise you more quickly!  This should also make the hometime routine a little more efficient/ quick

We will be giving your child a book bag this week.  We require the book bag to be brought to every session that your child attends.  They do not need to return the book until they want it to be changed from the library.  Bringing the book bag allows us to have a way of transferring their pictures/ letters from school to home. 

If your child is toileting- please ensure there are enough changes of underwear/ pants/ socks and shoes aswell as wipes for any changes.

If your child is wearing a nappy/ pull-up, please ensure their are at least 3 nappies/ pull-ups in their bag along with wipes for changes.

Children do not need to bring a drinks bottle for use in the classroom.  We have access to fresh water in the classroom.  If your child has any dietary preferences regarding this, please inform a staff member.

If your child is staying for lunch, they will need a packed lunch and drink in a bottle for lunchtime.
