What a wonderful week we have had. We had a great sports day where everyone did really well with each race and really enjoyed themselves.
English
In English we have continued our writing on the text based on the short video ‘Bubbles’. We have been innovating it to come up with our own nouns and adjectives to describe new locations that a bubble could transport us to.
Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning more on place value. We have been embedding our use of numbers to 50 and working on our understanding of numbers to 100. We have been looking at comparing and ordering these values.
Science
In Science we have continued our topic of ‘Animals Including Humans’. Been looking at a variety of different animals and sorting them into their different groups. We discussed which groups were best for living in different environments and why.
Topic
This week in our topic lesson it has been focused again on DT. We have looked again at a variety of emergency vehicles and their features. We looked at how each vehicle is build for a specific purpose and needs to get through traffic to an emergency quickly. We have used these ideas to investigate wheels and axels on vehicles. We created our own moving and fixed axels to compare which are most effective and most suited to an emergency vehicle.
