What a great first week back. We have really enjoyed learning what our new topics are this term and what we will be covering.
English
In English we have been exploring the text ‘The Snail and the Whale’. We have been looking at how the text uses adjectives and the word ‘and’ to make sentences longer. We have created our own story map of the story and mad actions for each part of our text.
Maths
In Maths this week we have been working on Time. We have been thinking about how events or activities have a before and after. We have also sorted activities into whether they take place in the day or at night. We have sequenced daily activities such as making a sandwich or doing the washing.
Science
In Science we have started our new topic ‘Seasons’. We have been on a walk around school grounds to see what signs of Autumn we could find.
Topic
In topic this week we have started our new theme of ‘Our Place’ for Geography. We have looked at aerial photographs and maps of the area. Found our school and where we live on a map.
