9th January

Welcome back to the class blog! Happy New Year!

The children have all settled back into class wonderfully and they have come back eager to learn.

English

In English, we have read and sequenced the story The Enormous Turnip. We have been learning about conjunctions and how they can join two sentences together.

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning about the days of the week. We have enjoyed learning songs to help us to remember the order of the days. We have been thinking about what yesterday, today and tomorrow mean.

Science

In Science we have started to learn about the human body. We played a game of Simon says to help us learn the names of body parts before we labelled them.

Topic

In Topic this half term we will be learning about the Town and Countryside. This week we sorted photographs taken of Wigan (a twin) and the countryside.

Please have a look at your Arbor accounts for our trip letter.

Have a lovely weekend!
