Visits are over and now it is time for the real pre-school experience!
The children have had oodles of fun in pre-school this week.
We have been accessing the continuous provision indoors and outdoors and getting used to the classroom routine now that lunchtime and carpet time has appeared on our daily timetable!
The children have been a credit to you this week. They have begun to make friends, shown great resilience to the long days after the summer break and (mostly) come into school in the mornings happy and ready to learn.
It has been a pleasure this week to get to know the children. The All About Me sheets you completed have helped us gain an insight into what your child likes and does not like, thank you to those who returned them.
We have drawn our initial self portrait this week. We will draw one again in January, April and July to show the progression of our pencil control and writing skills. This is always a display that amazes our grown ups and teachers at the end of the year.
We have also enjoyed collage and painting in the creative area- our 'Every Child is an Artist' display has work up on the wall now, and they look amazing!
W have also introduced 'Star Of The Day' this week.
We choose children who:
We choose one child per day and also have a bench on the carpet area that the Stars of the Day can sit on during story time/ singing time.
