Friday 9th October
Y6 have been making rainbows! When white light passes through a raindrop, it splits into its seven constituent colours. This is the colour spectrum. It is reflected back to us as a band of colour we call a rainbow – red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo and violet. We used solid blocks to represent a raindrop and torches to represent sunlight. Here are our rainbows.
