The children have all been fantastic on their first full week at nursery! We have had an amazing fun-filled week. The children have settled beautifully and formed relationships with both the staff and children. They have loved exploring all the activities that have been set up for them. They have enjoyed following the daily routine, including having snacks and sleeping through their days at nursery for a rest. Having lots of fun is tiring. 

Next week your child will come home with a key person letter. This will have a picture of your child's key worker and a buddy. We have a buddy system. This is to ensure there is always someone familiar with you and your child, but you can speak to any of the Butterfly team at any time if you have any worries or concerns. A key person is to help settle your child into nursery life and to keep track of their progress and development. 

Next week your child will also receive their own book bag containing a library book. This will be their loan library. Your child can have their book swapped as many times as possible providing they return the previous books. We hope you enjoy sharing a book with your child, and can't wait to hear all about it.

Reminders –

• Please can you ensure your child has an ice pack in their lunch bag.
• Please provide a drink for your child's dinner 
• Provide 2 spare pairs of clothes in bags, including socks 
• Enough nappies and wipes for their days in nursery
• Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and colder months – including a coat and hats/gloves when necessary
